Tricycle Gardens is a non-profit organization that works to bring urban agriculture, food skills education, and healthy food access to greater Richmond. Through an urban farm and several community gardens they grow a variety of vegetables with the help of volunteers. 

To convey their message, they use the following acronym:

F - Focus on community needs

O - Outreach and eduction

O - Opportunities for healthy food access

D - Design of beautiful spaces

They run an Urban Farm at 9th and Bainbridge streets, as  well as five community gardens at the following locations:

Jefferson Ave, between 23rd & 24h Streets

East Grace and 29th streets

1321 West Leigh Street (in Carver)

Patterson & Ellwood Streets

Idlewood and Rowland streets

Foodwaze has visited several of their gardens and been able to witness the amazing work these volunteers do to grow sustainable food amidst the hustle and bustle of an urban environment.
